McGinley Red Angus
McGinley Red Angus is located just west of Mesilla, New Mexico, and proudly owned by Marshall and Morgan McGinley.
In 1997, Marshall got his start in the Red Angus business working for Roberts Red Angus. Five years later, in 2002, he purchased his first set of cows. Since then his main focus has been on raising low birth weight bulls and replacement heifers. McGinley Red Angus also markets females and semen to customers throughout the states and Mexico.
By implementing an AI program in conjunction with collecting ultrasound data, McGinley Red Angus has been able to improve carcass traits while maintaining calving ease, good maternal traits and low-maintenance cattle with a moderate frame. AI influence has mainly been from Beckton genetics: Nebula M045, Epic R397, Lancer, as well as Buffalo Creek Hobo.
Over the last several years McGinley Red Angus customers have sold their calves at top of the market on Superior Livestock Auction. Even as cattle prices declined, McGinley Red Angus genetics garnered top dollar pricing.
Marshall and Morgan pride themselves in raising cattle with excellent disposition and "work anywhere" genetics.
