We are Chris and Laurie Kahlich, owners and operators of K4 Cattle in Hereford, Texas. We were both raised in Hereford by parents that taught us to be honest and work hard. We’ve been married for 32 years and started it all on a wing and a prayer! The Lord has truly blessed us and our family. We have two sons that have been a true blessing, two wonderful daughter-inlaws and two incredible granddaughters. We hope they all will be able to live the life of opportunity and success that we have.
The Saler Cow-- there is not a better cow out there when it comes to breeding, calving, and leading a 600 lb. calf to the house all on her own year after year. In 1995 my wife and two sons left the big city and moved back to Hereford, Texas to own our own business, and get more involved in the cattle operation. My sons began showing steers to keep busy and out of trouble. Over the next ten years we raised a few and purchased a few really good calves, and had very good success in the show ring. Not to mention, a lot of good memories. In 2009 my Dad decided to retire from all three of his jobs leaving my wife and I with the cattle operation all to ourselves. Here we are today raising a nice group of Salers and Salers cross cows along with a few club calf makers in hopes our grandchildren will have a few good ones to drag in the ring as well.
